Michael Harris is the captain of the Fading Sun, a Salvage ship that had been used during the war by Harris as a rather impressive EW platform. Now Harris runs a security group out of the comfort of the ship, although the Fading Sun is occasionally used for what the ship was originally built for when times are tight and it will salvage.

Having fought for the Alliance during the war, Joseph joined up with Harris once the war was over and became one of the Fading Sun's heavy equipment operators. During security ops, Brochard is once again a solider, but during salvage ops, he is one of the old ones on board that can utilize the cutting lasers for salvage.

Ives was an Alliance medic during the war that had managed to actually become a medical officer within the Alliance military. When he left, he eventually was hired by Harris to do what he did best within the fold of the Fading Sun.

Fought for independence during the war and when it was finished she worked with a bounty hunter for a number of years.  Some time ago she left her work with him and signed on with Harris as one of the heavy equipment operators on board.

Was a mechanic on a merchant ship that had been fairly successful.  When the ship was sold recently she found herself unemployed on Osiris.  When Harris needed a new mechanic her name came up and she was hired soon after.

An ex-companion that was part of a spy ring used by the Independent forces during the war.  She turned her licence in to avoid embarrassing the guild when things were discovered, and she was hired on to negotiate for the group.

During the war, Reiner was a decorated pilot for the Independance forces. When the war was over, there was litterally nothing left for him anywhere. He found a home on the Fading Sun as Captain Harris needed a good pilot, and there was no one that he knew that could do the job better than Reiner.
